| November 13, 2008 | I decided it's time for another news post. However, there really hasn't been anything going on for a while due to an overload of work, and also severly limits my time to even post anything here. Therefore, being the creative geniuses we are, we have a temporary solution to the problem. Here's the news. (Insert witty and informative news post here.) QUOTE OF THE DAY: "I didn't toss and turn. I know this cause I didn't drool." ~ Duke Roberts "That means you didn't actually sleep. You died and were brought back to life." ~ Stephen Acy |
| October 29, 2008 | Hiya, fellas! Sorry about the long delays. We have lives and school is getting in the way of production. Stupid education. Anyway, I'm delaying working on my circuits lab write-up to bring you the next Word Jumps! Enjoy. Word Jumps Week 6 I say "slab", you say... Stephen: "Steak." Chris: "Concrete." Duke: "The killer" Stephany: "Stone." Aaron: "Stab. I thought it said 'stab' at first." David: "Tomb." Stephanie: "Clay." I say "sing", you say... Stephen: "Song." Chris: "Doubt it." Duke: "Sing, Sing, Sing." Stephany: "Along." Aaron: "Screech." David: "Prison." Stephanie: "Burst." I say "drive", you say... Stephen: "No!" Chris: "Can't." Duke: "Away. I think that's a song." Stephany: "Way." Aaron: "Where?" David: "Motive." Stephanie: "Britney Spears." I say "knife monkey", you say... Stephen: "WTF?!" Chris: "Brass monkey. Don't ask." Duke: "..." Stephany: "Monkey with gun." Aaron: "Like a monkey wrench but sharper." David: "Spoon." Stephanie: "WTF?" I say "brainstorm", you say... Stephen: "Boring." Chris: "Hurricane in my head." Duke: "Fart. Who knows..." Stephany: "Research." Aaron: "Brainfart." David: "Subtle." Stephanie: "Rain, rain, go away. Come again another day." QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Stephen, want to see a man castrate a sheep with his teeth?" ~ Duke Roberts |
| October 18, 2008 | We're back! Sorry for the delay. Our host transferred to another server, so we were unable to post the new video this past week. However, it's finally here! This is the final episode of the second season. We will be retiring the old editing program we've been using, and be editing with something else from now on. This could result in a delay of videos at first while we accustom ourselves with the new program, which is why we chose to make this change in between seasons. Never fear, though! While we may not be bringing you another new video soon, I have word that the comics will soon be making an appearance. Also, the season 2 blooper reel will be released in a few weeks, exclusive to this site. And we will continue bringing you Word Jumps and Room of Monkeys every few weeks as well. Enjoy the new episode! QUOTE OF THE DAY: "We marched up and down the only hill in Kansas." ~ Jamey Graham |
| October 08, 2008 | I must apologize again for another delay. Fortunately, this time it wasn't due to the editor slacking off. The program we use to edit the films is outdated and I hate it, but is sadly required to finish this season. Long story short, the program crashed, causing a loss of nearly half an episode. Hopefully we can resolve this technical problem soon and get this next episode out to you all. Again, sorry for any inconvenience. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "No one will want to pay $25 to $48 to freeze their asses off." ~ Coworker "See, I'd want to fly and freeze my ass off for free." ~ Stephen Acy "I get paid to freeze my ass off." ~ Coworker |
| October 03, 2008 | Hey, y'all! Sorry about the delay. I'm not getting paid to do this, see, so school has to take precedence unfortunately. Here's where everything stands. I am currently (like literally, as I'm typing this) editing the next episode, which will hopefully make it to the video page by Monday. The first comic is nearing completion. I've seen it and it looks pretty amazing. As time wears on, the comics will hopefully start appearing every week or so, but as we're just starting the comics, we'll be seeing those about once a month for a while until the artist gets the hang of them. Also, there's a rumor that the character bio pics will be getting redone, so look for those when I say they're posted. And finally, here's the next Word Jumps post, and I'm off to finish editing. Word Jumps Week 5 1) I say "fate", you say... Stephen: "Destiny." Chris: "Star Wars music." Duke: "Nightwish." Stephany: "Destiny." Aaron: "Wait. It rhymes." David: "Fat." Stephanie: "Shatter it to pieces." 2) I say "fear", you say... Stephen: "Spiders!" Chris: "Dementors." Duke: "Nightwish." Stephany: "Oh, shi-" Aaron: "Me! Mua ha ha ha." David: "King Lear." Stephanie: "There was a bogeyman living in my frying pan, but now he's free and he's coming after me." 3) I say "born to reign", you say... Stephen: "Or not born to reign." Chris: "Colorado Rockies. Boo yeah!" Duke: "Reign of Fire." Stephany: "King." Aaron: "If you say it fast it sounds like country." David: "Umbrella." Stephanie: "Simba." 4) I say "ginormous", you say... Stephen: "Really big." Chris: "Huh? What is it?" Duke: "Glamorous. Cause that's what I read it as." Stephany: "Volcano." Aaron: "Ginormosaurus Rex." David: "Tonic." Stephanie: "In the dictionary!" 5) I say "spree", you say... Stephen: "Shopping." Chris: "Candy." Duke: "Killing!" Stephany: "Shopping." Aaron: "It's a candy." David: "Tart." Stephanie: "Sweetarts." QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Stephen should go help Duke covertly work on their math project." ~ Stephen Acy. |
| September 23, 2008 | First, the update. The next and last season is currently in production, and should become available to view on this site by this coming Sunday. Unless unforeseen events occur. Then it could be a while. Heck, it could be a while even if foreseen events occur. No need to worry, though. We have decided to kill the old editor and replace him with a slightly modified clone of himself that will produce episodes faster. As long as footage is available, that is. Anyway, that's quite enough out of me. Allow me to present... Word Jumps Week 4 1) I say "Hero", you say… Stephanie: "Pardon me while I burst out into song." David: "Protagonist." Stephany: "Nakamura." Stephen: "Captain Hammer." Aaron: "That's a movie, isn't it?" Duke: "Nickelback." Chris: "Superheros." 2) I say "Mary", you say… Stephanie: "Mary, Mary, quite contrary, how does your garden grow?" David: "Lamb." Stephany: "Had a little Lamb." Stephen: "…had a little lamb?" Aaron: "There's something about her…" Duke: "Poppins." Chris: "had a little lamb." 3) I say "Freak", you say… Stephanie: "Weak-minded." David: "Fred." Stephany: "On a Leash." Stephen: "Tommy." Aaron: "New 3 piece golf ball from Top Flight." Duke: "on a Leash." Chris: "of nature." 4) I say "Rock the Vote", you say… Stephanie: "I'm sick of all the Obama stickers." David: "Boulder." Stephany: "Diddy." Stephen: "huh?" Aaron: "A kind of boat that you can rock called a vote." Duke: "What?" Chris: "Politics?" 5) I say "Peaceful Warrior", you say… Stephanie: "Samurai." David: "Alimony" Stephany: "Sousuke Sagara." ** Stephen: "Vash the Stampede." Aaron: "Oxymoron." Duke: "Something to do with one or more video games. Probably KOTOR or Jade Empire…" Chris: "doesn't exist." QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Toilet's beeping again." ~ Duke Roberts ** - Sousuke Sagara is from the Anime "Full Metal Panic". |
| September 15, 2008 | Word Jumps Week 3 This is a game I've come up with in an attempt to make the news posts more interesting. Here's how this works. I give the other members of Citty Commandos a word or phrase, and they must tell me the first thing that pops into their mind, which in turn gets posted here. No one knows the other people's responses until after they've given their own. Please leave comments about the game in the news room forum. 1) I say "No man", you say… Stephanie: "left behind…even though it was called No Child Left Behind." David: "Island." Stephany: "Land." Stephen: "No Man's Land?" Aaron: "…is every man." 2) I say "Tiger Lily", you say… Stephanie: " Is from Peter Pan." David: "Flower mosquito." Stephany: "Peter Pan (or a skunk. The Zoo has a skunk with that name. You can pet her.)" Stephen: "A tiger and a flower." Aaron: "Ate the butterfly." 3) I say "Saint", you say… Stephanie: "Lucifer." David: "Volcano." Stephany: "Peter's." Stephen: "Absolutely nothing comes to mind." Aaron: "Bernard is a dog!" 4) I say "Chasing Forever", you say… Stephanie: "Sounds like a chink flick." David: "Field full of wheat." Stephany: "Because chasing ideas is fun!" Stephen: "Tails." Aaron: "Isn't going to come." 5) I say "Black Heart", you say… Stephanie: "Dragon Heart, FREEEEEEDOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!! (But wait, Mel Gibson wasn't in the first one! Oh, well. Doesn't matter.)" David: "Secret Postapocalyptic Organization" Stephany: "Mel Gibson." Stephen: "Uh, a black heart." Aaron: "Means purple blood." QUOTE OF THE DAY: "I bet that if you stick poison gas under Andy's door, you might be able to postpone the deadline." ~ Stephen Acy's programming professor. "I could write [the script that collects everyone's homework from their school drives] so that it wouldn't matter if I were alive or not." ~ Andy |
| September 10, 2008 | Good news, gang! The next video, episode 22, is finally available! And this marks the end of the overly-long wait. Coming on Friday will be the next Word Jump list, and the comic artist is going to start being harassed for the comics. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "I just watched a guy in an orange jumpsuit play a song on bicycle horns. I have no idea [the answer to your question]." ~ Duke Roberts |
| September 09, 2008 | We have encountered some problems while attempting to post the next episode, finally. While the next episode is finished, the difficulties we are experiencing will prevent the video from being available. These technical difficulties affect our ability to get at the video files, as well as the ability to use the forum. While you can still view the videos, from what I hear, the forum is currently down. We are currently working on finding a solution to the problem, and ask for a little more patience. Again, sorry for the prolonged delay in the releasing of the next video. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Have you ever cooked a hotdog...with nails?" ~ Stephen Acy's Circuits Professor at CU Boulder |
| August 02, 2008 | Alright. I figured I'd go ahead and let everyone know what's going on. Filming for Season 3 is on pause due to school starting back up. We have successfully completely filmed over half of the season though, so once I start editing it, we'll start advertising for it. As for Season 2, I've been too busy lately to finish it. However, in a couple weeks, I'll have time to finish that up and bring you all the exciting conclusion of the second season. We'll release it hopefully within the next month. No promises, however, as school work will have to come first. We of course don't get paid to do this. I promised comics several months ago. My apologies about the long delay, but our artist has been slacking. I have seen sketches, though, and I've been told that those will start appearing soon. Again, sorry about the delay, but apparently nothing remotely resembling work gets done for SOS during the summer. It won't be long, though, folks. No worries. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "That's a one-man pole. This one's a two-man pole. Wow, that sounded wrong." ~ Stephen Acy, explaining the use of the poles at the Skycoaster at Elitch Gardens. |
| July 08, 2008 | Sorry about the delay, folks. The program I use to edit the episodes is acting up again, so I have to figure out what it wants this time. We'll get the last episode of Season 2 out as soon as we can, though, no worries. Also, I know that I've been slacking a bit on the news things that I've promised. My apologies. My job has me running every which way at all times right now. However, the comics are on their way (so I've been told by the artist) and Season 3 is currently in the filming stage. Again, sorry about the massive, unforeseen, unwanted delay. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Teews! ... Um, I definitely didn't mean to type that backwards." ~ Stephen Acy, attempting to type "Sweet" in response to Stephen Wills. |
| June 28, 2008 | He found me. But I'm on vacation currently and wouldn't you know it? I don't have my harddrive with me so I can't edit the last episode of Season 2!!! Sorry about that guys. Not to worry though. At least I've gotten a chance to catch up on the preparation for Season 3. I'll get the next episode out as soon as I can. Again, sorry for the delay and thanks for bearing with us. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Not yet calling latter for my afternoon." ~ Keaton Leikam |
| June 19, 2008 | And with that, S.O.S dies a little more each week. I can't believe it's been well over two weeks since the last news post. I'm gonna go find that lazy editor and see what he's up to. Perhaps I can at least get him to apologize (again). If you are still coming here to our site, please bear with us.

| May 25, 2008 | Sorry about the delay, folks. The next video is finally up for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy. Also, here is week 2 in Word Jumps! Word Jumps Week 2 This is a game I've come up with in an attempt to make the news posts more interesting. Here's how this works. I give the other members of Citty Commandos a word or phrase, and they must tell me the first thing that pops into their mind, which in turn gets posted here. No one knows the other people's responses until after they've given their own. Please leave comments about the game in the news room forum. 1) I say "Christmas", you say… Stephanie: "Tree." Duke: "Christmas Eve. Christmas Jones. Christmas Eve Sarajevo." David: "Outdoor winter nighttime lit by colorful lights." Stephany: "Peaceful." Stephen: "Green!" 2) I say "Kiss", you say… Stephanie: " Hershey's." Duke: "A struggle to remember what the first thing I thought of was, than an image of the band." David: "Love." Stephany: "me? (It's a song)" Stephen: "The band." 3) I say "Nuclear Fallout", you say… Stephanie: "Explosion...nuclear effects reek havok on the world! Entire human species either dies on impact or suffers horrible distortions!" Duke: "Glowing green stuff, which is synonymous with Melon Fanta." David: "Abandoned concrete bunkers." Stephany: "We're screwed." Stephen: "Mushroom cloud." 4) I say "Ring", you say… Stephanie: "One ring to rule them all…yadda, yadda, yadda." Duke: "The Ring." David: "Saturn." Stephany: "of Power." Stephen: "Just a circle. A little fancier than a circle. And it's on a black background so it's like white or gold or something." 5) I say "Star", you say… Stephanie: "Starman." Duke: "Ring around a star? Wars. Fox." David: "Galaxy." Stephany: "Power!" Stephen: "Mario!" QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Axl Rose? A wheelbarrow could sing better." ~ Dre |
| May 17, 2008 | Still no news from the editing room. Man must have died or something. Must see to that soon. In the meantime, here's another interesting post, developed by yours truly. Room of Monkeys Week 1 In this game, I ask the members of Citty Commandos hypothetical questions to which they provide me with their hypothetical answers. As in Word Jump, they do not know each other's responses. Please leave comments in the News Room Forum. 1) If you were a superhero, what would your name and power(s) be? David: " Super Sandwich Making Man. My power would be the ability to make sandwiches so delicious and so fast that my enemies could not help but surrender so that they may gorge themselves on my majestic creations." Stephen: "I would fly. Name would be Staphen I guess... >_> Or it could be Shtave if identity issues might arise. Or something completely different, but since it's a theoretical situation let's just go with Staphen." Stephany: "I would be Zombie Woman. I would have a large shotgun with infinate ammo that helps me fight the zombie hordes. They're coming." Stephanie: "Actually, I wouldn't want to think of myself of a superhero. I'd rather create a new character- like my superhero Firefly. You know- the one with the glowing rump that gets embarrassed easily- and she always glows brighter when embarrassed. Some people blush, but she glows. >:3" Duke: "Lanscader, and I would at least be able to fly." 2) If you were to become a rich and famous, where would you live? David: "A chalet high in the mountains of Switzerland." Stephen: "Somewhere no one could find me." Stephany: "If I were rich and famous, I would own a ranch up in Montana." Stephanie: "Depends on what I'm famous for. And if I have an insane fan following. But I'd probably just live in Colorado- I don't have any ambition to be somewhere else." Duke: "Australia or New Zealand. Or both." 3) Imagine that it is the year 3050, and space travel is not only taken for granted, but people commute to Mars everyday and have lunch on Pluto. You own your own planet in a distant system. What is the name of the system, name of the planet and what type of planet is it? David: "The planet is called Gehenna, in the solar system Methuselah. It is a gigantic and lawless prison planet; much like Australia, where people are sent and left to fend for themselves. However, there are gigantic death satellites surrounding and monitoring the planet, to destroy any attempt to escape. The climate and terrain is similar to that of Earth." Stephen: "Small planet called Arbez in the system of Radec. :P" Stephany: "The Planet would be called Aden, and it would be a lot like earth: mountains, lakes, plains, oceans, deserts, the usual, but it would have one supercontinent (like Pangea) and very few islands." Stephanie: " The galaxy would be Scrnal, and the planet would be Fookin. Type of planet....solid for possibility of life." Duke: "System: Rulukavi. Planet: Rulukavi Prime. Type: Class M (as usual)" QUOTE OF THE DAY: "I guess we're just different in how we perceive our stomachs." ~ Stephanie LeFebvre |
| May 12, 2008 | First of all, I would like to inform everyone that the editor still hasn't gotten around to finishing the next episode, so expect it to come out later than usual. Sorry about that, folks. However, we are proud to announce that we will now have a weekly (hopefully) non-serious news post! Word Jumps Week 1 This is a game I've come up with in an attempt to make the news posts more interesting. Here's how this works. I give the other members of Citty Commandos a word or phrase, and they must tell me the first thing that pops into their mind, which in turn gets posted here. No one knows the other people's responses until after they've given their own. Please leave comments about the game in the News Room forum. 1) I say "Maximum Power", you say: Stephanie: "Full speed ahead! And for some reason, I'm reminded of Sonic…" Duke: "Getting power-ups in Metroid Prime." David: "Spaceship." Stephany: "9000 (internet meme. I am lame)." Stephen: "Electricity, like.. lightning and a mad scientist I guess, I dunno." 2) I say "Get Back", you say: Stephanie: "…There's an Anime called The Getbackers." Duke: "To Where You Once Belonged. A John Mellencamp song." David: "Cave." Stephany: "now." Stephen: "Uhh.. prison camp type thing. Soldier telling a prisoner to get back in line or get back to work or somesuch." 3) I say "Dihydrogen Monoxide", you say: Stephanie: "Carbon monoxide…skull and crossbones. Jolly Roger!" Duke: "Water." David: "Water." Stephany: "I've heard this joke before." Stephen: "Water!" 4) I say "Batman", you say: Stephanie: "Pointy Ears." Duke: "And Robin." David: "Gothic." Stephany: "And Robin." Stephen: "Just a picture of Batman. But the old cartoon one." 5) I say "Mike Rowe", you say: Stephanie: "You need a life." Duke: "Dirty Jobs." David: "Somebody I don't know." Stephany: "Man's man." Stephen: "Who?" QUOTE OF THE DAY: "I can't think of anything to say right now." ~ Stephen Acy |
| April 30, 2008 | It's late in the day, but delivered on Wednesday (our time) as promised. Episode 20 is now available for your viewing pleasure. I haven't watched it yet, but I hope you enjoy it! QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Your teacher may be bad, but on the plus side you don't need Chemistry for your major. So the fact that you aren't learning anything doesn't matter in the long run. As long as you pass." ~ Wise words from Stephen Wills |
| April 27, 2008 | Just to keep you all updated, the site may be down on Tuesday, April 29 for an indeterminate period of time. The next episode should then be posted on Wednesday. Sorry for any inconvenience. Also, those "goodies" mentioned in the last post are still in the works. We've been busy here, getting ready for finals and such, but the goods are on their way. Watch for them to start appearing in May! QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Hey, I'm the one confused. Don't turn it around." ~ Stephen Wills "In that case, let's drop it before one of us figures out what we're talking about." ~ Stephen Acy |
| April 13, 2008 | Good news, fans! The next episode has just been released! Go watch it now, and find out what's been happening with Greg, and laugh at Luther's evilness! Because he's just that awesome. Also, keep checking back here for more goodies coming soon! No more will the news post be just boring stuff. We've got a couple things planned, so keep your eyes peeled. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Mughambleasi" ~ Duke Roberts "That's him having something to say, but not wanting to talk." ~ Stephen Acy |
| April 03, 2008 | From the editor's desk: Season 2 is painful to us here at SOS Command. In more ways than one. Therefore, as the editor, and an extremely close friend of the producer, I have decided to combine several of the more boring episodes together to make a slightly longer-than-usual episode. This is simply for the insanity of the cast and crew here at SOS Command. To let us know what you think about season 2, visit the topic devoted to it in the General Forum. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "I thought these were regular jelly beans! Then I got coffee. And this is sardine, which is better than coffee, at least, in my opinion. Ok, maybe it's not sardine. I'm not sure what it is." ~ Stephen Acy |
| April 01, 2008 | Coming to you live from SOS command, we've just received an urgent news update. It's just been reported that avocados are poisonous to birds! So scurry to your birdhouses everyone, and remove that guacamole dip as fast as you can from the clutches of our feathery friends! SOS command, out! QUOTE OF THE DAY: "I'm guessing that [the above] might have something to do with chemistry." ~ Stephen Wills |
| March 31, 2008 | Episode 18 is now up and available for all to see! Sorry about the delay everyone. I was much too lazy to switch over to Windows (or remember why I had to switch over to Windows) and didn't end up uploading the updated videos page until now. I hope you enjoy it! (I haven't watched it yet. >_>) QUOTE OF THE DAY: "No one is afraid of a hippo with huge teeth! They're afraid of a rhino... with huge teeth. Ok, bad comparison. ;-)" ~ Cole S. |
| March 21, 2008 | Got some new images for the front page. If you have any questions about why we did it or just want to tell us what you think about it, feel free to mention it in our forum. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "I wonder how we managed to make this conversation so amusing..." ~ Stephen Wills "It's a gift." ~ Stephen Acy |
| March 14, 2008 | Fourth video of Season 2 is up. This is a scary one. In more ways than one. It was also one of the episodes where injuries occurred during voicing. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "It's called 'The Bat'. That's not the literal translation, of course. More like 'The Flying Rodent Thing' or something." ~ Stephen Acy |
| February 29, 2008 | The awesome third installment of the second season has arrived on a videos page near you. Or rather, on the videos page on this site. Also, two new bios have been added to our growing collection. This marks all the new characters that get bios in this season, though there may be more eventually if the reporters deem it a worthwhile endeavor. And for those of you interested in this stuff, the script for season 4 is currently being written, dates for filming season 3 are being debated upon, and editing for the last few episodes of season 2 is being procrastinated. :P QUOTE OF THE DAY: "I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome I am." ~ Stephen Wills "I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome Wills is." ~ Stephen Acy "I can't hear Wills over the sound of how awesome Wills is." ~ Duke Roberts "Katherine E. is listening to the awkward silence of Wills's sound of his 'awesomeness.' " ~ Katherine E. |
| February 17, 2008 | So we've made some minor changes to the site which will hopefully make it look a lot better. I think it looks better anyway. In addition, we've added one item to the interesting facts page. I guess I'll leave it up to you to decide if it's actually interesting. Finally, we'd like to point out that the server hosting Newline Gaming seems to be having some trouble lately and therefore the forum might be down from time to time (as well as the video downloads, but usually it's a database problem). These problems tend to be fixed in very little time so you may want to check back in an hour or so if you find that it's not working. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "You're an Amazon Princess, and I'm a rich kid with issues." ~ Batman |
| February 15, 2008 | The next video is up and waiting to be viewed. Go make it happy. Two new character bios have been declassified for all to see as well. Also, we're still looking for feedback as to whether or not you as viewers want another season. The script writer is preparing ideas, so any feedback would be appreciated. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "It would be nice if I were paid to eat." ~ Duke Roberts |
| January 31, 2008 | It's the moment you've all been waiting for! Season 2 has officially begun! Episodes will be released at 2 week intervals. I hope you're all as excited as I am for these new comic mis-adventures of your favorite (and not so favorite) characters. Technical news: Season 3 is in its beginning phase, with voice-editing currently underway. The video editor is half-way through editing season 2. Also, the script-writer is trying to decide whether or not to go ahead and start planning on a fourth season. Please go to the forum and give your opinions. It would be greatly appreciated. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Tell you what I'll do. I'm going to ignore you, and then I'm going to leave." ~ Grandia II |
| January 20, 2008 | Er.. In an attempt to save time, I accidentally wiped our poor editor's most recent news bulletin. So here's my news bulletin! You'll all probably like it better anyway. While my ego is on a role, you should all check out my most excellently awesome forum! Well, I didn't actually make it, but I put a lot of work into it! And we are now asking you to become members. I mean, it's the least you could do after we gave you these AWESOME videos! ...You could join the facebook group too if you want. But that wasn't my idea. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "When the winds of change blow hard enough, the most trivial of things can become deadly projectiles." ~ despair.com |
| January 01, 2008 | Our last season 1 bonus video has now been released. It's time to start anticipating the season 2 release! Be excited, everyone. I know I am. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Start off every day with a smile and get it over with." ~ W.C. Fields |
| December 14, 2007 | Our third bonus video is up under Season 1 on the videos page. Our final Season 1 bonus video will be released early next month, and then Season 2 shall commence! QUOTE OF THE DAY: "No matter how fast or how slow I take a shower, it always takes 20 minutes." ~ Duke Roberts |
| December 11, 2007 | We here at Citty Commandos HQ are gearing up for Season 2, finals, and CHRISTMAS Break. Yeah, that's right. We call it Christmas. Cause that's what it is. However, we all love the other holidays of this season as well. Anyway, in preparation for the release of Signs of Supidity Season 2, we have done a little site work. Notice now how the videos page has two columns. Something similar will happen to the Who's Who page when the actual episodes begin to be posted. Character Bios are also being prepped ahead of time, so you'll see the backgrounds of new characters as soon as you see them in the episode. Unfortunately, we still have some work yet to do on the actual season itself, so for now, we'll still be posting bonus videos for another month. In the meantime, watch the Season 2 trailer to whet your appetite for the upcoming continuation of the comedic adventure of your favorite characters! QUOTE OF THE DAY: "It hasn't stopped snowing since Friday!" ~ Duke Roberts |
| December 05, 2007 | Good news for all of you SOS fans out there! Season 2 is getting much closer to its release! In fact, there will be a trailer for it coming up next month, followed closely by the new season itself. Stay tuned for more excitement coming soon. QUOTE OF THE DAY:"I seem to be going back to a Scottish accent..." ~ Stephen Acy |
| November 30, 2007 | There are now two bonus videos up on the site. I'm not absolutely certain, but from what I understand we seem to have one or two more bonus videos to release. So all you fans who hate our bonus videos, be looking forward to next season's episodes. Sorry for the confusion, but our web designer typed the news post, and said that the next season is coming out before the new year. Sorry, but he's wrong. He can't post until I give him the next season, which isn't complete yet. If you do in fact hate the bonus videos, please check back again at the beginning of February. We'll at least have a good idea by then when to expect the awesome second season! QUOTE OF THE DAY: "We can't say that. The dead people might get upset and start calling in." Who's Line Is It Anyway: Season 1, gag reel. |
| November 27, 2007 | Hello, everyone. This is Stephen Wills, the web designer, and I am writing this formal apology to apologize for something that I need to apologize for. I made a pretty major mistake on the bios that was fixed just a few moments ago. Due to a copy/paste error, most of the headers for the bios pages all had Konan's name instead of each of the different characters' names. So I formally apologize for overlooking this seemingly unimportant, yet emotionally devastating error. I am truly sorry. |
| November 12, 2007 | Greetings, all of you SOS fans out there! Yeah, I'm talking to all five of you. Maybe there are more, but you're simply watching and not being heard. Or seen. Which is fine. I just like doing this stuff, whether anyone else cares or not... Anyway, enough ranting. As I've mentioned before, Season 2 is currently being filmed, and Season 3 will be close on its heels. This may seem to be looking too far ahead, but it made sense to follow Season 2 with another season. The main reason for this news post is because I'm totally bored right now and looking for an excuse to put off doing my Calculus homework. Look for a special bonus video to come out later this week! QUOTE OF THE DAY: "I wanted to play Guitar Hero last weekend, but I couldn't because I had too much work to do on Halo 3." ~ Stephen Acy "You are the only person I know who is allowed to say that." ~ Duke Roberts |
| November 05, 2007 | This just in: Our reporters have just sent us the final two character bios for our awesome season 1 characters! The bios can be found on our Character Bios page. Go check them out! QUOTE OF THE DAY: "This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-ŕ-vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V." ~ V, V for Vendetta |
| November 02, 2007 | Episode 13 is now up. Delivered a day late because the web designer was too lazy to get on his computer last night. So blame him. This is the final official episode of Season 1. But no worries. While you wait for the new season, we will still post other material. We will finish the Bios section, for starters, and we'll give you a glimpse behind the scenes with several blooper episodes. Stay tuned for updates on Season 2. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Angle of descent: not good." ~ The Chronicles of Riddick |
| October 18, 2007 | Now it's time for episode 12! Delivered straight from our... servers to your... computers! Uhh, enjoy. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Wait, that's not a guy... that's a table!" ~ Duke Roberts |
| October 03, 2007 | Yesss! The best character since Luther has finally been introduced. Go see Dr. Pepper in episode 11. (No, the main web designer isn't biased in the least. :P) *EDIT* Also, the series creator isn't biased either. GO SEE THE BEST CHARACTER SINCE LUTHER!!! Well, best yet, that is... :P QUOTE OF THE DAY: "PRESS X TO - WAIT, HOW'D YOU DO THAT?" ~ The instructions on how to flip the Elephant in Halo 3. |
| September 17, 2007 | Episode 10 is now up and waiting to be viewed. It's lonely. Go watch it. You won't be disappointed. But don't sue us if you are. Also Susan, Jaxox, and Mark have all been added into our bio community and everyone (except Susan) wants you to look at them. Enjoy. :) QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Ever since we discovered that blue penguins slide differently than green penguins, we've been asking 'what color is it?'" ~ Stephen Wills |
| August 31, 2007 | We have released episode 9. It is in the usual place on the videos page. Where else would you expect it to be? Go watch it. Now. Do it. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "It's the Garden of Eden with landmines!" ~ Cpt. James T. Kirk |
| August 24, 2007 | The video formats have been successfully changed AND they're on the site. So if you've been hauling those 90MB mpg files around on your computer, even if they work just fine on your computer, we recommend you ditch them now for a slightly lighter load--about 5MB--in the wmv format if your computer supports it. These new files can be found where the old files were on the Videos page. Also, as you might imagine, we've ditched the mpg format ourselves and will now only be using the wmv format. This means that if your computer does not already support viewing the wmv file format, we suggest that you acquire some software that does support it if you wish to continue downloading and viewing our videos. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Where are you?" ~ Stephen Wills' mom "I'm still at Acy's house." ~ Stephen Wills "Why are you there?" ~ Stephen Wills' mom "Cause I haven't left yet." ~ Stephen Wills |
| August 23, 2007 | Sorry about the delay. We are all currently in the process of transitioning into college life. But we will hopefully be getting episode 9 out shortly. The formats of the files have been changed, however they are not yet up on the site. Please be patient. Bios are also still being compiled. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "If you're really bored one day, and just so happen to have a goose, a spining wheel, lots of fur and 2 balls of pith...try killing a goose." ~ Stephen Wills |
| August 16, 2007 | Episode 8 is out. We're working on changing the file formats so if they're not working... Well, we ask you to bear with us, but you can do whatever you want I guess. We can also finally start updating the Who's Who page, but not immediately. Expect to see it later today or tomorrow. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Is it recording? Is it this red light?" ~ Stephen Wills "It's this red light." ~ Stephen Acy "Trust the red light." ~ Stephanie LeFebvre |
| August 04, 2007 | Greetings all you SOS lovers out there! I know you're there, even if I can't see you... Episode 7 has been released. However, I am told by my expert Web-dude that there might be a problem with the codec we're using. I apologize for this unforseen misfortune, but we will rectify the current problematic situation as soon as humanly possible. Also, due to the above problem, all of our efforts are going into fixing the problem, and therefore we must forego the ridiculously simple task of updating the Who's Who page and bios and such. Again, we here at Citty Commandos apologize for the inconvenience. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "I'm totally a Vampire Ninja Zombie! I have no idea how that works, but it sounds friggin' awesome! Rock on!" ~ Stephen Acy |
| July 24, 2007 | Episode 6 is now up and ready to be viewed! Bios are still on there way, and I'm still lazy. So, all's good in the world. Except for the bad stuff. Please refer this site to friends if you like it! Let it be noted that the web designer would like you all to refer this site to friends even if you don't like it. He likes people to see his work. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "A closed mouth gathers no foot, but a large foot enters no mouth." ~ Duke Roberts |
| July 18, 2007 | Released episodes can be viewed and downloaded on Vuze. Also, more research is currently underway, and bios for Mark, Susan, Jaxox will be coming out soon. Sorry about the wait. Our files on these characters were lost, so we have to go ask the characters about their pasts. And they don't like to talk much. Too busy playing Halo to answer our questions. I'm going to go join them. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Stupidity often saves a man from going mad." ~ Oliver Wendell Holmes |
| July 13, 2007 | And now for the greatest addition yet! That's right, everyone. We've added Luthor von Lupin's bio! You should definitely go look at it. I like the picture. Furthermore, we've released Episode 5. It's a lucky day for all you SOS fans! If there are any of you that is... QUOTE OF THE DAY: "You can't commit attempted murder!" ~Stephen Acy "But you can be commited because of it..." ~Whitney H. |
| July 03, 2007 | Episode 4 is now up and ready for download! And you all know we just had to tell you. You probably could've figured it out yourself, but if you like reading these news bulletins, now you know. We also added a couple puppeteers and gave credit to our distributor. Season two is coming along nicely, considering that several of us were out of town for the filming sessions so far. We have the raw footage for episodes 14-17, and Stephen Acy will begin editing those together soon. Maybe. No hurry. Just thought it might be interesting to know where that stands. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "That which doesn't kill me still may sever my spinal cord, crush my rib cage, cave in my skull, and leave me helpless and paralyzed, soaking in a puddle of my own waste." -George Carlin |
| June 29, 2007 | We now have a host for our videos, so Filefront.com will no longer be used. Enjoy the videos that are currently released, and the next episode will be arriving shortly. QUOTE OF THE DAY: "I am NOT playing chicken with a two thousand ton plane!" |
| June 27, 2007 | Good news! Episode three is now up and ready to be viewed. Enjoy the awesomeness that is...Signs of Stupidity! QUOTE OF THE DAY: "Self-defenestration is not desirable at this time." ~ Duke Roberts |
| June 19, 2007 | Now that we are pretty much settled into our new website, we will be updating the site more frequently. Episodes will start coming out every week or two. New on the site, we have seven additional interesting facts, which more than doubles our previous amount. Go read. QUOTE OF THE DAY: No matter where you're going, you're not there yet. |
| June 17, 2007 |
| June 16, 2007 | I apologize for the long wait in getting the Character Bios page up and running. Stephen Acy is being lazy and not doing his research into the backgrounds of the complex characters. If you'll excuse me, I must go and beat that idiot up. We expect to start receiving the character bios sometime this coming week. |
| June 11, 2007 | Well we're still having trouble getting a better host for the movies, so you'll still have to view and download them from FileFront. Or you could go to Machinima.com. The movies get posted there shortly after having been posted here, so they might be there too. As for the art, we're also trying to get the Character Bios page up and running. That's where the art will be. The good news is that we've now posted our second video so if you haven't already found it, head to the Videos page for the link.
|
| May 9, 2007 | There has been a bit of trouble getting Episode 2 up and running and we're hoping to get a better host for our videos, so please bare with us for a little while longer if you were hoping to see the next video. We should also be getting art for three of our characters very soon.
|
| April 28, 2007 | The Signs of Stupidity website is now up and running! Well, it's nearing completion anyway. You can now view Episode 1: In the Beginning and the cast members involved in the making of that episode, and you can expect to be able to see Episode 2 in a week or less.
