A walking thesaurus, Konan attended the SOS Naval Academy on Mars, and graduated at the top of his class. His first assignment sent him into a battlefield with a highly trained squad of Marines. During the grueling two years he stayed with the squad, he made friends with the captain of squad, and learned from him how to lead effectively. Sadly, the marine captain was killed shortly after Konan was reassigned to the Naval base above Neptune. During the alien attack of 2562, Konan was nearly killed rescuing Admiral Davis while the station was plummiting towards the surface of the planet. Promoted to captain for his heroic actions, Konan was placed in charge of SOS Alpha Squad, and has been stationed on Earth for thirty-nine years, watching soldiers come and go, and refusing promotions.
